The Rector’s order of 18 December 2006 has announced the establishment of the Commission on Academic Planning at the EUSP. The Vice-Rector for Development Oleg Kharkhordin became a chairman of the Commission, professor of Political Science and Sociology Vladimir Gel’man became a co-chairman.  

The main goals of the Commission activity are:

• evaluation of current and planning scientific-research projects and programs;
• evaluation of whole research activity of the University’s units;
• organization of support for these projects and programs;
• drawing up recommendations based on priorities of scientific-research projects and programs;
• drawing up recommendations for improvement of scientific-research activity of the EUSP’s units.
