PUBLICATIONS: Since 1970 I've published ca. 190 papers and abstracts (not counting small reviews, obituaries or newspaper articles). They are dealing with the Slavic linguistics, Ethnology (mainly the wedding ritual and other kinds of rites), Folklore (General "narratology", interpretation of some tale-types, reconstruction of Proto-Slavic epics, epic and ritual anthroponomy, folklore and ritual lexicon etc.), poetics and theory of literature, and on Russian literature of 19th and 20th centuries (some theoretical problems and authors including Pushkin, Dostoevsky, Blok, Annenskij, Gumilev, Akhmatova, but most of all - Mandelstam), particularly on the interrelations between literature and folklore.
