The European University at St Petersburg (EUSP) was founded in 1994 and began its work as a post-graduate program in the social sciences in 1996. Due to high professionalism and unique academic potential, European University developed a reputation as one of the most dynamic and modern educational institutions in the country.
The European University at St Petersburg is non-governmental institution for further education for specialists in the social sciences and humanities (Accreditation Certificate ¹ 25-1969, July 16, 2004).
Nowadays EUSP is licensed to conduct such post-graduate courses as "Social structures, social institutes and processes" and "Political Institutes, Ethonopolitical conflictology, national political processes and technology" (Licence À ¹166540, July 25, 2006 ) as well as programs for advanced training and professional development in the social sciences and humanities (Licence À ¹101820, March 28, 2007).

The European University is the first university in Russia that has successfully replicated the educational model of Harvard and Berkeley. The quality of the education offered at EUSP is clearly indicated by the high demand for our programs both among the most talented graduates of Russian universities and graduates from European and American universities as well.
EUSP is post-graduate research university specializing in training a new generation of Russian researchers and teachers – professionals in the humanities and social sciences. The combination of instruction and research gives our programs a competitive advantage.
Our university’s professors are renowned academics who have achieved significant success and recognition in their respective fields. Many of them have had experience teaching in universities abroad. We have created a unique academic community. At EUSP students and researchers from Russia and abroad work together on theoretical and applied research concerning urgent problems in today’s society.
